The natural beauty and rich history of Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum create a unique setting for any special event. The museums’ expert event planning staff can help you with the details of any function from meetings and conferences to the most formal weddings and receptions. A number of locations throughout the properties are available to accommodate a variety of needs.
An eighteenth-century Methodist Church, originally moved to The Farmers’ Museum in the early 1960s. The organ and piano are both functional and each dates from the mid-nineteenth century. Seating for up to 175 people.
Empire State Carousel
Open in May of 2006, the Carousel is a perfect place for small receptions and after-wedding photography.
An eighteenth-century tavern originally moved to The Farmers’ Museum in 1952. The Tavern is perfect for intimate receptions and rehearsal dinners, seating up to 20 guests in the downstairs Tap Room and up to 40 guests in the second-floor Ballroom.
Louis C. Jones Center
Located in the Main Barn, the LCJC seats up to 180 guests for a wedding reception and dinner. The LCJC is heated and the adjoining Courtyard is available at no additional cost.
Catering & Information
Our carefully selected and approved caterers offer a wide variety of unique menus. The service is impeccable and any special food and beverage selections can be accommodated including ethnic cuisines of all kinds.
