Volunteer

Would you like to contribute your time, talents and energy to presenting and preserving the history of New York State, enjoy lifelong learning, learn a new skill or brush up on an old one, and make new friends? Then volunteering at The Farmers’ Museum or Fenimore Art Museum may be for you.

Garden Volunteers

Are you interested in helping make the gardens at the museum look their best? We welcome volunteers who enjoy talking with the public and are willing to do demonstrations. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and sharing ideas!

Ideally, you have experience working as a gardener or farmer. Must be able to perform hard physical labor in warm summer months. Interest in Native American culture and history is a plus.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our programs and activities. Flexible hours and a wide variety of opportunities are available. For more information, view the Invite You to Volunteer brochure. Or call 607-547-1462 or e-mail volunteers@farmersmuseum.org.
