Explore woodstove cooking techniques like your grandmother and great grandmother used! On our 1870's wood cook stove in Bump Tavern, participants will prepare and enjoy a delicious meal using simple ingredients from the pantry and root cellar. We will make and enjoy a hearty winter lunch of soup, home-baked bread, and a sweet treat to top it off. Participants will do all the chopping, cooking and cleanup, just like on the farm. Take home leftovers (if there are any!), recipes hand-pressed in our historic print shop, and a starter sponge for baking for baking this traditional bread at home. NOTE: Cooking on the Woodstove attendees will enjoy the meal they prepare during the workshop, so standard lunch will not be provided.
