Prepare for spring with this introduction to hydroponic gardening, an alternative to traditional gardening which uses no soil.  In this workshop, learn how to set up a simple hydroponics system at home using materials easily found at hardware shops.  Never settle for expensive, store-bought spinach, lettuce or even kale ever again!  This workshop covers hydroponics vs. soil-grown veggies (pros and cons), materials and equipment, lighting, ventilation & temperature, nutrients and watering, and types of vegetables you can grow.  Build and take home your own mini-hydroponics garden!

Workshops include a delicious lunch of meat/cheese/veggie trays for make your own sandwich or simple salad; apple, chips, cookie, and bottled water.

Class Fee:  Member $70, including lunch/Non-members $80, including lunch.  All materials included.

Requires advance registration, limited to 6 participants.

Please bring an apron or comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
