Join our farmers and master interpreters to observe and learn about the shearing of sheep, and the skirting, sorting, washing, and drying of the fleece. Then comes picking, teasing, carding or combing, and finally spinning the wool into a skein of yarn which you take home.
Your workshop includes a delicious lunch of meat/cheese/veggie trays for make-your-own sandwich or simple salad; apple, chips, cookie, and bottled water.
Location: Morey Barn and Lippitt Farmhouse Parlor
Class Fee: Members $70 (includes lunch and all materials). Non-members $80 (includes lunch and all materials)
Requires advance registration, limited to 6 participants.
Please bring an apron or comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
