COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (07-10-2014) — Cocktails in the “lodge” and dinner in the “woods” are two features of the Annual Benefit Gala for The Farmers’ Museum and Fenimore Art Museum on Friday, July 18, at 6:30 pm. A celebration of both museums, the Gala theme “Into the Woods” is inspired by the Fenimore’s exhibition The Adirondack World of Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait.
Live music by Phil Zenir and Gravelyard Bluegrass accompany cocktails and dinner. Guests can participate in a kayak regatta, a two-person virtual 200-meter race on kayak machines that use interactive I-Race software to display each race.
Bunny Hamilton (Cooperstown, NY) will be recognized at the Gala for her longtime commitment to the museums. The Gala features live and silent auctions, and auction items can be previewed online at
Proceeds raised from the Gala benefit educational programs at The Farmers Museum and Fenimore Art Museum.
Gala tickets are $175 each and are still available.  For more information or to purchase tickets, please call (607) 547-1433 or email
