Visit The Farmers’ Museum on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving Day for Thanksgiving at The Farm. The museum is the perfect setting to spend time with family and friends over the long holiday weekend. You’ll find blacksmiths forging cooking utensils throughout the day inside the Peleg Field Blacksmith Shop. Smell the coffee being roasted inside Bump Tavern. Be sure to visit the Print Shop Exhibit in the Main Barn to see historic recipes printed using a 19th-century printing press. Stop by the Lippitt Farmhouse to learn about traditional cooking methods and recipes. Watch interpreters at the Pharmacy Exhibit prepare medications from a bygone era that help aid digestion–like after a big Thanksgiving meal!
Bring the entire family! Kids can catch a glimpse of the heritage-breed turkeys, visit the farm animals, or enjoy a relaxing walk around the museum’s 19th-century country village. They’ll also find activities and crafts in the School House.
Admission is free, but please consider a donation of $10/family or $5/individual. All donations benefit The Farmers’ Museum’s Education Programs. Registration is not required. Face masks are required inside all buildings.
