An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until September 2, 2023
The Templeton Players are The Farmers’ Museum’s resident theatre troupe, specializing in performing rare comedic gems from the mid-late 19th century. All shows are free with museum admission and are performed on the Leatherstocking Stage in the museum’s country village! Two performances each day: noon and 2:00pm – Saturdays/Sundays in July and August. SEE SCHEDULE BELOW.
Cox & Box: A Musical Comedy

Synopsis: In this rollicking, silly, musical farce, conniving landlord Sgt. Bouncer has tricked Mr. Cox and Mr. Box (who have opposing schedules) into sharing the same apartment! But how far can he take the scheme before chaos ensues? Featuring music by Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert/Sullivan fame!
A Good Night’s Rest
“Mr. Snobbington has had a long day and is desperately trying to get some sleep. After hearing a ruckus outside, he leans out his window to find one of his neighbors loudly trying to get into his own house, apparently locked out. After a testy exchange, and still finding himself in desperate need of sleep, Snobbington decides to invite the man inside his own apartment if only he will only quiet down. What could possibly go wrong?”
