Jump-start your garden with this historic technique that can beat the late winter cold! You will first construct your own 3 foot x 2 foot frame to take home, then learn how to set it up by working on the hot frame in our historic farm garden. We will even send you home with a hand-picked variety of heirloom seeds and seedlings to get started right away!

Currently, the museum requires proof of vaccination and masking to attend this program. However, due to the ever-evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, protocol may be changed in the future. Please come prepared with proof of vaccination and a mask in the event that they are required. We thank you for understanding and helping us keep our visitors and staff safe.
Please wear comfortable and warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bringing gardening gloves is recommended.
