Every Sunday in March!  (March 4, 11, 18, and 25)

Join The Farmers’ Museum for what has become a springtime tradition for families and friends throughout the region.  The event features historic and contemporary sugaring demonstrations, children's activities and more.  A full pancake breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 1 pm with other activities scheduled 9 am to 2 pm.

Children’s activities throughout the day and maple cooking demonstrations are held in the More House. Visitors are invited to have a taste of “jack wax” - hot maple syrup poured over snow! The blacksmith will also be working in his shop – stop in to watch a true craftsman.

In addition, the Empire State Carousel, a favorite attraction at The Museum, is open from 9 am - 2 pm.  You can find spring items, unique gifts, crafts, and books at The Farmers’ Museum Store and Todd’s General Store open 9 am - 2 pm.  Local maple products will also be for sale.

On March 18 only, Native American educator and storyteller Mike Tarbell tells stories from the Haudenosaunee tradition.

As part of The Museum’s efforts to “go green,” Sugaring Off Sundays feature biodegradable utensils and plates along with tabletop signage encouraging patrons to help reduce waste.

Ages 13 and up: $8.00 / Ages 7 - 12: $4.00 / 6 and under are FREE!  Admission includes full breakfast.  Reservations are not required.

Sugaring Off Sundays is sponsored in part by the Bank of Cooperstown, Otsego County Maple Producers, Sysco, and Quandt’s Foodservice Distributors.
