Americana Academy Workshop: Crochet Lacemaking

Discover the centuries-old technique of crochet (meaning “hook” in French) and how this easy yet versatile craft is used to make a variety of garments and decorations. Learn the three basic stitches and chains, how to combine them into different patterns to create various laces, edgings and doilies, understand how to read a pattern, and make a simple lace edging or small doily to take home.
