Step Back In Time Weekend: Farmland to Table
August 2-3, 10:00 am–5:00 pm
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y., July 23, 2014 — On Saturday and Sunday, August 2-3 from 10:00 am–5:00 pm, step back in time at The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, New York to celebrate the history and heritage of food and farming with our second Step Back In Time Weekend - Farmland to Table. Come explore our fields to learn more about the crops and animals that sustain our local communities!
Engage all of your senses by tasting cheese samples, smelling the fresh air, watching our staff cook a delicious supper, and listening to the sounds of a historic, working farm producing local food. Get up close to our farm operations, including our young oxen-in-training as they put their strength to work. Gain ideas for your own backyard and table!
This weekend is part of the museum’s commitment to celebrate agriculture, acknowledging how the past informs the present.
