The Empire State Carousel As New York State HistoryThe Empire State Carousel (ESC) is a vibrant exhibit at The Farmers’ Museum that can help teach kids about New York State history, geography, nature, and art. The ESC was opened at The Farmers’ Museum in 2006. The carvings on the carousel depict important people, places and events in New York History. This curriculum offers ten interesting, interdisciplinary lessons inspired by the ESC. Each lesson addresses specific New York State Learning Standards.
