Todd's General Store is a unique shopping experience that combines both historical interpretation and retail sales. The Farmers' Museum has made every effort to accurately reflect a 1840s general store in upstate New York. The inventory is based on records of the Hard & Peck store located in Noblesville, New York. Not only do we have the inventory of the Hard & Peck store, but also the bills from the owner's buying trips to New York City in 1849 and 1850.
In addition to the Todd’s experience there is The Farmers' Museum Store which complements Todd’s with historical products that celebrate the New York State agrarian experience.
Fine reproductions, limited edition prints by regional artists, sculptors, wood carvers and potters. Original paintings, even 19th century original newspapers, period children’s games, a full library of history related books both signed and unsigned.
