COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (08-16-2013) — In recognition of the services tirelessly provided by our local EMS, police officers, and firefighters during the busy summer tourist season, Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum will offer free admission to first responders from Otsego County and up to three family members from Saturday, August 24 – Monday, September 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum family honors those who work to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens by offering a place for first responders from Otsego County to enjoy their time with loved ones. Please present a valid ID card at the front desk upon entering the Museums.
Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum are an integral part of the community, not only as cultural venues, but as a place where families can create connections and share experiences in the time they have together. Both museums also take part in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a national program that offers free admission to active-duty service members and their families from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The upcoming free admission for first responders continues our commitment in thanking and honoring all those who put themselves in harm’s way for the safety and well-being of others.
