2016 schedule:

Carousel rides from 11:00am – 3:00pm!

Receive free admission to The Farmers' Museum as the museum opens its doors on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving Day (November 25-26 from 10:00am–4:00pm) for Thanksgiving at The Farm. The museum is the ideal setting to spend time with family and friends over the holiday weekend. Pose for a tintype photo (see details below), see our heritage breed turkeys, visit with skilled interpreters, and shop for the holidays in Todd’s General Store and The Farmers’ Museum Store. If you still have an appetite, enjoy warm food and drink available at the Crossroads Café.

Bring the entire family! Kids can look in on the heritage-breed turkeys and take part as they are herded across the tavern green, ride the Empire State Carousel (11:00am-3:00pm), or just enjoy a lively walk around the museum's historic village.

Find beautiful holiday items and greeting cards in stock at The Farmers' Museum Store as well as fascinating items based on the history and culture of New York and rural America - with select items up to 50% off. At Todd’s General Store, find items from our region’s past that you can’t find anywhere else, several made here at the museum! The museum shops are open Tuesday-Sunday (closed Mondays and Thanksgiving Day) from 10:00am - 4:00pm through Christmas Eve.
